Kris M. Sandrock is a private music teacher located in Elmhurst, IL. She holds degrees in English and Music Education from Northwestern University and Elmhurst College.Kris began her musical career at the age of four, studying piano. At twelve, she began studying voice at Elmhurst College, and then at sixteen years old continued her vocal training with Bruce Hall at Northwestern University. After graduating from Northwestern, Kris lived in New York City, studying voice with Tom Shepard of NYU, as well as acting with Michael Howard Studios.
Since returning to Chicago, Kris has had an active performance career. She has performed with the DuPage Opera Theatre, serving in the chorus for four years. Kris sang in the symphonic concert of Howard Shore’s Lord of the Rings at the Auditorium Theatre. Since then, she has also performed in several productions with GreenMan Theatre Troupe in Elmhurst, IL.
In addition to her performing credits, Kris has extensive experience teaching music to students of all ages. She is an Illinois State Certified Teacher, and taught at Churchville Middle School in Elmhurst, IL. She served as music director for the Elmhurst Children’s Theatre production of The Sound of Music. Kris currently teaches piano and voice lessons from her private studio in Elmhurst, IL.
