GreenMan Announces Cast For
"I Only Have 'Ives' For You."


GreenMan Theatre has cast a large and talented group of local actors in the spring production of “I Only Have Ives for You,” which collects eight short comic plays by the award winning playwright, David Ives,

Actors cast in the production include, from Elmhurst, Cheryl Rice, Alice Ruppenstein, Klaus Ruppenstein, Steven Soria, and Jim Zervas.

From Villa Park, Lauren Anders, Lisa Baggott-Miller, and Stan Kosek will appear. Cast members from Chicago are Elizabeth Dayton, Scott Surowiecki, and Wally Roche. Other area actors include Angelicque Cate [Elgin], Christina Fleetwood [Downers Grove], Marjorie Gustafson [Lombard], Dawn Hansen [Schaumburg], Lynn Homeier [River Grove], Charmaine Tellefsen Jones [Woodridge], Tim Ahlberg [Oak Park], Anthony Berg [Addison], and Geoffrey Maher [Palatine].

Directors who will contribute to the show include Joe Collins [Chicago] and Craig Gustafson [Lombard], both of whom have acted and directed at many theatres in the Chicago area. Craig directed “Waiting for Godot” at GreenMan in 2006. Joe appeared in GreenMan’s 2004 production of “Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders” as FBI-man in disguise, ‘Sister’ Guido Grimaldi. Also directing are GreenMan board members Phil Hendricks, Cory Sandrock, and David Soria. Phil played the sullen and insane character of ‘Bruce’ in “Murder: Stage Right” in 2007. Cory wrote and directed last season’s popular “Nevermore: The Dark World of Edgar Allan Poe.” David Soria directed GreenMan's recent productions of "The Odd Couple" and “Dracula.” Behind the scenes for “I Only Have Ives for You,” Jim Ocasek will design the set and lights, and Benjamin Vargas will design the costumes.

GreenMan Theatre Troupe has been presenting plays in Elmhurst since being founded in 2003. Past productions include “Honeymoon from Hell,” “Blithe Spirit,” and “The Fantasticks.” GreenMan is a non-profit 501[c]3 organization whose mission is to provide a source of cultural enrichment and pride for the community by presenting diverse, quality productions and providing opportunities for personal growth in the theatrical arts. GreenMan also offers classes and workshops for members and the community. GreenMan welcomes new members and participants in all aspects of theatre production.


The production will take place at the First United Methodist Church, 232 S. York Rd., in Elmhurst, opening Apr 17 and running three weekends through May 3.

Performances are Fri and Sat nights at 7:30 and Sun matinees are at 3 pm.
