Katie Monahan -
Katie recently joined the Board and currently serves as House Management Committee Chair. She is happy to be coordinating front of house volunteers (e-mail GMTTHouse@gmail.com if you’d like to get involved!), assisting with box office, and working on GreenMan's archives and lobby displays.
Katie works in construction/property management, and also enjoys golf and competitive badminton. It is largely thanks to badminton, actually, that Katie got involved in community theatre, after other staff at a camp where she was coaching encouraged her to try it out after some memorable performances at camp skit night.
At GMTT, Katie has assistant directed The Guys, performed in two murder mysteries, and appeared on the mainstage in Ravenscroft (Dolly), Shakespeare in Hollywood (Olivia Darnell), and Pride & Prejudice (Mrs. Hurst, Mrs. Gardiner). Some favorite credits elsewhere include Enchanted April (Rose), Godspell (Peggy), Moon Over Buffalo (Roz), The Producers (Usherette), The Full Monty (Estelle), and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gloria). The last two shows were with Highland Park Players, where she was formerly a board member.
Katie enjoys working with GreenMan to bring diverse, high-quality theatrical offerings to life while collaborating with talented, dedicated people in a positive, fun environment, and looks forward to many memorable experiences and productions in the future!
