Denise Marie D’Asto (First Witch) is enchanted (!) to return to the Greenman Theatre stage after first appearing here in The Rimers of Eldritch as shotgun-wielding Nelly Windrod. Elsewhere, she has appeared in: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever; Losers (2011 Directors’ Workshop) and Who Am I This Time? (2009 Directors’ Workshop), all at Theatre of Western Springs; The Sleeper at Riverfront Playhouse; Agnes of God at College of DuPage; and several student films at Columbia College. Favorite roles include: Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit and Yente in Fiddler on the Roof. Denise’s fascination with theatre began at age 16 in a one-act French play. A former English teacher and legal professional hailing originally from North Dakota, she thanks her husband, Joey D., daughter Kate and her new husband Brandon, brand-new granddaughter, Quinlan, and all the “Turkulas” and extended theatre family for their loving support. She dedicates this performance to her nephew, Ian Turkula – Happy Halloween!
