GreenMan Offers Audition Skills Class

GreenMan Theatre is proud to offer an upcoming class on audtioning skills for actors of all levels of experience. This one day class is geared for actors who would like to polish their skills when it comes to auditioning for theatrical productions. GreenMan Artistic Director David Soria will be teaching this class, which will focus on skills for scene readings. The class will give students tools to use when given scenes to read 'cold' with a partner at an audition. No experience is required.

Soria has a diverse and extensive career in local theater. Some of the productions he has directed at GreenMan include "Pride and Prejudice," "The Importance of Being Earnest," "Shakespeare in Hollywood," and "Dracula." Soria has also directed productions at Illinois Wesleyan University, Moraine Valley Community College, and Elmhurst Children's Theatre. He has also acted in, produced, stage managed, and designed sets, lights, and sound at various theatres.

The class will be held on Saturday November 12 from 10 am to 12:30 pm at First United Methodist Church at 232 S. York in Elmhurst.

Cost of the program is $20, $10 for GreenMan members.
